To make it interesting, create a time line of the person of the biography and juxtapose it with other prominent figures related and significant events at that time. To illustrate, say in the case of Artist Vincent Van Gogh, create his time line at the bottom of the biography and also Paul Gauguin, Vincent's family history and the art scene at that time, the industrialization movement, the national events etc. where ever he resides.
What such snapshots of information can draw readers to have a general feel of the settings the subject is in and make available enough curiosity to investigate the details by searching in the biography beyond. And so the aim to achieve engaging the reader in the subject is realized and have one remember more vividly the biography.

As a pseudo writer or a ghost writer, the important thing is to adhere to the publisher's requirements or the person to be written on. Because this is very personal and you may not be in a position to write what you desire to your liking. Unless, the initiation allows you to write in your own way, do make sure you know what they want or otherwise face a total rejection.
Be certain that you have all the facts down so that there will not be any fraud or fakes. Remember you are the ghost writer, so just perform the writing and have a amicable partnership. However, if there are certain things that you know on your side that you have to stick to, lay it on the table before the contract commences. This way all can be smooth on the legal side and all you will be discussing is the writing style or alteration of contents.
Do write it as if you are the one being portrayed so that you will make it very personal and then follow what is required of the sponsor.
