Writing Tipz: Biographies : Guideline 2: Create a Timeline

To make it interesting, create a time line of the person of the biography and juxtapose it with other prominent figures related and significant events at that time. To illustrate, say in the case of Artist Vincent Van Gogh, create his time line at the bottom of the biography and also Paul Gauguin, Vincent's family history and the art scene at that time, the industrialization movement, the national events etc. where ever he resides.

What such snapshots of information can draw readers to have a general feel of the settings the subject is in and make available enough curiosity to investigate the details by searching in the biography beyond. And so the aim to achieve engaging the reader in the subject is realized and have one remember more vividly the biography.
